Father catches man raping daughter

A suspected rapist (name concealed) has been nabbed by men of the Oyo State Police Command for allegedly raping a girl in Oluyole area of Ibadan, the state capital.
The suspect was said to have been caught by the girl’s father after she was held down in a nearby bush by the rapist.
DailyPost was told that the suspect allegedly deceived the girl into a nearby bush, forcefully teared her cloths and was having canal knowledge of her. However, the cry and shout of the victim drew attention of the girl’s father who caught the man pants down.

In confirmation of the story, Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Olabisi Clet-Ilobanafor, said; “The father of the victim, who reported the crime, said he heard his daughter screaming in a nearby bush and that when he rushed there, he saw the suspect on top of his daughter, having canal knowledge of the victim by force.
“The father said he saw the suspect holding the girl by the neck.”
The suspect was thereafter arrested and taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department; SCID after the girl was rescued.
It was further disclosed that the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Indabawa, had asked the Command to immediately charge the case to court and be treated like other rape cases.
