NANOTECNOLOGY

Nanotechnology ("nanotech") is the manipulation of matter on an atomic, molecular, and supramolecular scale. The earliest, widespread description of nanotechnology[1][2] referred to the particular technological goal of precisely manipulating atoms and molecules for fabrication of macroscale products, also now referred to as molecular nanotechnology. A more generalized description of nanotechnology was subsequently established by the National Nanotechnology Initiative, which defines nanotechnology as the manipulation of matter with at least one dimension sized from 1 to 100 nanometers. This definition reflects the fact that quantum mechanical effects are important at this quantum-realm scale, and so the definition shifted from a particular technological goal to a research category inclusive of all types of research and technologies that deal with the special properties of matter that occur below the given size threshold. It is therefore common to see the plural form "nanotechnologies" as well as "nanoscale technologies" to refer to the broad range of research and applications whose common trait is size. Because of the variety of potential applications (including industrial and military), governments have invested billions of dollars in nanotechnology research. Through its National Nanotechnology Initiative, the USA has invested 3.7 billion dollars. The European Union has invested[when?] 1.2 billion and Japan 750 million dollars.[3]
Nanotechnology as defined by size is naturally very broad, including fields of science as diverse as surface science, organic chemistry, molecular biology, semiconductor physics, microfabrication, etc.[4] The associated research and applications are equally diverse, ranging from extensions of conventional device physics to completely new approaches based upon molecular self-assembly, from developing new materials with dimensions on the nanoscale to direct control of matter on the atomic scale.
Scientists currently debate the future implications of nanotechnology. Nanotechnology may be able to create many new materials and devices with a vast range of applications, such as in medicine, electronics, biomaterials and energy production. On the other hand, nanotechnology raises many of the same issues as any new technology, including concerns about the toxicity and environmental impact of nanomaterials,[5] and their potential effects on global economics, as well as speculation about various doomsday scenarios. These concerns have led to a debate among advocacy groups and governments on whether special regulation of nanotechnology is warranted.

“Despite the apparent superficial nature of these high profile relationships though, we can only hope that there is some love behind them … It’s also interesting to note that male fans seem to be the most likely to stick with their partner than opt for a wag if given the choice!”

22yr old college athlete arrested for infecting dozens of men wih HIV

According to a report by Radar Online, 22year old college athlete, Michael Johnson (pictured above) has been arrested for allegedly infecting dozens of men with the HIV virus. 32 tapes of the former wrestler having unprotected sex with men who are not aware of his HIV status were found on his computer. The men were not even aware that he was filming the sex act.

Michael has been charged with five counts of recklessly risking infection of another with HIV since November. Authorities said they have only identified one of the men in the tapes, and are trying to find out the identities of the others; many of the men seen having sex with Johnson might have met him through social media sites, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as on campus.

St. Charles County prosecutor Tim Lohmar told KMOV that “it’s safe to say that numerous of those videos were taken inside his dorm room; we know that because we recognize the furniture.” Continue

Authorities there are asking anyone who may have had an intimate relationship with Johnson, or who may have relevant info, to contact the St. Charles Detective Bureau at 636-949-3330.

“It’s a matter not only of their individual safety,” Lohmar said, “but public safety as well.”
Johnson remains in custody on a $100,000 bond at St. Charles County Jail., and is slated for a court hearing Tuesday. If convicted, he could be sentenced to life in prison.

"Not having sex for 2 years feels good" -Dencia says in new interview

The singer and businesswoman tells Encomium magazine
"Sex is overrated and sex is for lovers who are trying to make babies. I am not trying to do so, it is not in my agenda. Not having sex for two years feels good. I am saving energy and mileage. I have better things to waste energy on. I want to wait till after marriage because I am not in a rush. Marriage is a commitment. I just don't see myself falling inlove, having sex and being both heart broken. I have never been heartbroken. I can't take a heartbreak..and men these days expect anything from them. To avoid heartbreak, if I meet any serious man we will meet the families, no sex for over six months, so in the process they might find out they don't like me so I can quit easily."

The Act Of Greeting

Greeting is an act of communication in which human beings (as well as other animals)intentionally make their presence known to each other, to show attention to, and to suggest a type of relationship (usually cordial) or social status (formal or informal) between individuals or groups of people coming in contact with each other. Greetings sometimes are used just prior to a conversation or to greet in passing, such as on a sidewalk or trail. While greeting customs are highly culture and situation-specific and may change within a culture depending on social status and relationship, they exist in all known human cultures. Greetings can be expressed both audibly and physically, and often involve a combination of the two. This topic excludes military and ceremonial salutes but includes rituals other than gestures. A greeting can also be expressed in written communications, such as letters and emails.
Some epochs and cultures have had very elaborate greeting rituals, for example, greeting of a sovereign. Conversely, secret societies have often furtive or arcane greeting gestures and rituals, such as a secret handshake, which allow members to recognize each other.

In some languages and cultures, the same word or gesture is used as both greeting andfarewell. Examples are "Good day" in English, "Aloha" in Hawaiian, "Shalom" in Hebrew, "Namaste" in Hindi and "Ciao" in Italian. The bow and handshake are also used for both greeting and leave taking.

“Arsenal will not win the EPL, it’s between Liverpool and the Manchester teams” – Mourinho

Mourinho frustrated look

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, has claimed that the Premier League will be won between the Manchester teams and Liverpool.
Arsenal are currently on top of the log, one point ahead of Manchester City, as the league reached its mid-way point this weekend.
Ahead of the clash between the Blues and Liverpool who are in fourth, Mourinho has declared that the visitors will be in the mix, especially since they don’t play in Europe this season.
Mourinho said: “At this moment, everybody’s there. It’s Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and City in the top four.
“This year the pressure will be not just to win the title, but to get top four. I think it’ll be hard.
“If I have to say, and I know you’d like me to say, Manchester City are the big, big, big favourites.
“Liverpool are on holidays for the whole season, one week to prepare a match, play the match, one more week to prepare the next match, which is an unbelievable advantage.
“And Manchester United, in spite of being a few points behind, are the reality of the last years.
“Leave us there, behind them. We’ll try and do our job and finish top four.
“Arsenal are like us. They play in the Champions League. They are trying to improve from the last few years. For many years they’ve not been at the top of the league.
“Chelsea were 25 and 14 points off the leaders in the last two years. For us and Arsenal we have to try and do our best.”

Boko Haram: ‘We are fighting a religious war against President Jonathan, Christians’ – Shekau

Boko Haram emir Abubakar Shekau makes his first major video appearance
The Islamic militant, Boko Haram, on Friday, in a new video made available to newsmen in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, said the group is fighting a religious war against President Goodluck Jonathan and Christians.
This is contrary to the views of many that the group is not fighting a religious war.
According to leader of the group Abubakar Shekau, “This is to show our muslim brethren that victory comes from Allah. This is just a tip of the ice berg regarding the booty Allah has blessed us with, the booty, which took our brothers day and night to cart away.
“Our fighters stormed Bama (military) barracks. Allah threw them (troops) into confusion through some servants of Allah who dedicate themselves to Allah.
“Allah finished them. They bragged, they said whatever pleased them to the extent of claiming they have cleansed Bama, now that they have sticks-wielding vigilantes. Even Jonathan praised them, saying Bama are steadfast.
“It is in the same Bama that brothers pulverized 21 armoured tanks. People in multitudes were killed, bodies scattered all over. The sight would astonish any onlooker.
“Soldiers hid under blankets in their rooms and our fighters pursued them and blew out their brains.
“Had Allah allowed us to eat them we would have eaten them but we are not cannibals because we are not spirits or animals.
“As for killing, we will kill (for) Allah says we should decapitate, we should amputate the limbs, we should mutilate.
“This is a victory from Allah, that is why the title of this message is ‘Victory from Allah’.
“We were amazed by the victory in Damaturu, then a greater victory was achieved in Maiduguri and now Bama operation is better than Maiduguri. And tomorrow we will go to…(Laughter and shouts of Allahu Akbar in the background).
“By Allah, if you want to secure peace in this world, you should repent.
“My brethren, we should thank Allah. They try to brainwash the people that we are fighting an ethnic war. No, we are fighting a religious war, we are fighting Jonathan, we are fighting Christians.
“This is a bounty placed on me (brandishing a flyer with his picture), that whoever finds me, finds me and takes to Jonathan, will be given 50 million naira.
“What is 50 million naira. Do you know what we are doing? Your armoured tank is worth more than 50 million naira and we burn it. Haven’t we burnt your aircraft? What is 50 million naira. We do not worship money. As for he who is in our midst for money, Allah has taken care of him. Hypocrites who lived with the Prophet could not harm him. You can’t in anyway harm me.
“Even America has placed $7 million ransom (on my head) if you arrest and take me.
“It is difficult indeed. The way you hide Jonathan in Aso Rock and hide Obama in White House, so does Allah hide me under His protection. You are with Jonathan and Obama while I’m with Allah. Let’s play then
